I read a passage
in Vanishing Voices: The Extinction of the World’s Languages that I found beautiful and evocative:

In Mikmaq, said Sakej, trees are… named for the sound the wind
makes when it blows through the trees during the autumn, about
an hour after sunset when the wind always comes from a certain
direction.

The original source for the passage is on the web, but in neither place do they give
the actual words, and that is what I want. It’s only a
hint of what could be possible with language, even in English:
there is, and should be, a right word for everything.
