40 degrees and soggy, walking around coatless (but not hatless).
My sprouting garlic bulb is dead – I don’t think it got enough
light. I’m not (yet) ready to install a grow-light here in my office,
but I’m thinking about it – maybe I’ll try again once I get one. In
the meantime, to temper my disappointment, I started some wheatgrass
– nominally for our houseplant-munching cats, but really for me, too.
When the sky is gray and the ground is white, and the sun sets too
soon, it’s good to see something young and fresh and green just
starting to grow.
