There go all my excuses: snow and ice – gone, rain – gone, even
clouds – going. It’s sunny and in the low 50s. I’ll have to finish
spreading our manure pile now, but I’ll wait until tomorrow .
Today, because it was such a nice day, we walked into town. The
air smelled fresh and clean – only a hint of decay from fallen
leaves. I went to see my eye doctor. My aging eyes continue their
slow but inevitable decline – not enough to need new glasses yet,
but weaker nevertheless.
