The pond has a thin film of ice this morning, and there’s a good
chance we’ll have snow by tomorrow. It doesn’t look like I’ll
finish moving our manure pile before winter, but you never know …
The sun managed to peak briefly through the sheer, frosty curtains of
the clouds. It was the first sun we’ve seen in almost a week. The
yellow light looked strange, out of place against the empty gray
branches and empty gray sky.
