Last night we didn’t get back home until after midnight, but I promptly went out to check the garden – and water wherever I found wilt (the recently planted yarrows, mostly).

There are no new flowers, yet, but some of the ones we planted are getting pretty big – it would be nice to see some buds, at least. The coreopsis are in full swing, the Indian blanket flowers (Gaillardia pulchella
) are coming along, and a few, sad-looking coneflowers (Echinacea purpurea
), but it would be nice to see a monarda, or a nicotiana, too.

There are more raspberries & black raspberries, of course, and three perfect blueberries, delicious. There are more, but they’re not yet ripe. And (finally) our first tomato, small but bright.
