It’s all of one piece – the drifting clouds, the floating breeze, the singing birds and the dancing leaves.

We’ve got a great crop of cilantro this year, and the dill is looking really, really good. One of the four butterflyweed seedlings is just gone – pulled up and eaten, roots and all. I’ll have to cover the rest with netting or we’ll never see them grow.

We also have quite a lot of corn growing all over the yard. They weren’t planted by us, but by squirrels, who took what we gave to the ducks and saved it for later. So far, at least, the deer have left them alone.
