A full day: vacuuming, lawn-mowing, planting (buttercrunch lettuce), cooking (stir fry) and a very pleasant time taking Doris, my 93-year-old adopted grandmother, to the eye doctor.
I gave her the first harvest from our rhubarb (and the second for us!). It looks like we’ll have plenty this year – the plants are as big as shrubs.
False alarm – no frost. It actually feels warmer than it did yesterday. This is our average last frost date, so we can (finally) start planting all our frost-sensitive plants – the tomatoes, especially.
