The dill seeds I planted are already sprouting, though the seed packet said they shouldn’t germinate for at least another two weeks.
While I was gone, Jenny said “yes” to a lawn service’s “spring cleaning” offer, and we spent most of the morning today repairing their damage, replacing the mulch they removed. Gardens don’t need to be ‘cleaned’ – in spring, fall or any time in between.
Today was my first day (and night) without heat. Jenny already had hers two days ago. With the windows wide open, the frogs sing us to sleep. They seem to go all night, but if you’re up early enough there’s a lull before dawn. It only lasts a moment, and then birdsong fills the breach. An hour later, the frogs are back again.
