Some mornings, taking the temperature is as easy as checking the level of the feeder. Two scoops down means it was a cold, cold day. But sometimes snow will keep birds (and squirrels) away, or if it’s cold enough. No one likes to spend too much time below zero.
Another inch of snow today makes it finally look like winter. An inch at a time is easy to shovel, too – though I hope it’s just breaking us in for a good snowstorm to come.
