(Reno, NV) Today I got an unexpected e-mail in response to this weblog. I don’t know why, since I’ve been using computer networks for almost 20 years, but I’m still surprised and a little thrilled every time they help me make a new personal connection.

Which brings me to something I’ve suspected about myself for a while, but I might as well come out and say it: I love people – not in the abstract, mass, mob or group, but individually, personally.

Each person I meet is an amazing, un-understandable mix of experience, memory, hope and desire… unknown potential. That depth, that unpredictability is fascinating to me – not just to see, but to experience
– to feel, not knowing, what it brings out in me, and then to see what I bring out in them, then again and again.
