A spectacular, beautiful day – a perfect arc, from cold damp fog at morning to warm bright sun at lunch, and now a slow, soft sunset as a few hazy clouds return. A small group of ducks zips by in the distance, silhouetted black against the peach-pink sky.

I did some much-belated pruning of our raspberries’ old canes while our cats had a field day with a catnip plant that’s still green in the center. As far as I can tell, the rest of the yard is still waiting patiently for winter to come.
