Today I pulled the chilled columbine seeds from their artificially refrigerated winter and put them out into the warm, damp ground. I planted some more sunflowers (the second one that sprouted was eaten), and noticed, I think, the first seedlings of New Jersey Tea (Ceanothus americanus
) coming up in our pots.
