0°C (32°F) After quite a few snow squalls this morning, the clouds are slowly dissolving into blue. When the sun pokes through it is instantly warm, but for the most part it’s still washed out – filtered – dispersed into a cool fluorescent glow.
-2°C (28.4°F) Another couple of inches of snow today. The evergreens droop again with dollops of rich, heavy cream. Stoic oaks bear the extra load on their broad, tangled beams. Only maples, streamlined – straight – smooth – seem unaffected, their buds bright against the cold.
