-17°C (1.4°F) Thankfully, the wind has subsided. Strong winds and ice are not a good combination for trees. The ice came from Friday night’s downpour – thunder, lightning and rain; and the wind – the blasting, frigid, Arctic wind – that came from wherever it is coldest. It filled the air with a dull roar, like crashing surf, but up close it skittered into your eyes with a frantic glee.
Today, silent, still, we’re bedazzled with light.
