I’ve been looking at frost on our windows. I know if they were working well there shouldn’t be any frost at all, but I’m glad it’s there. The variety of forms, the grace and the intricacy of something as simple as ice makes me wonder at the complexity of everything else I see (or perhaps ice is not nearly as simple as I imagined).
-9°C (15.8°F) Powdery blue skies to start the day, followed by increasing clouds and a few snow flurries. One bird I feel incredibly lucky to have around, especially in winter, is the cardinal. Its bright red color is an antidote to all that’s grey and dreary.
