I’m back. I have so much to say about where I’ve been, I hardly know where to begin, so I’ll just start with today.
Unseasonably warm (70 degrees) and dry (no significant rain since mid-October), the last leaves finally let go and blew around – though a willow down the street still has a full load.
It was time to do my final, final mowing (really), some more raking, some touch-up gutter cleaning (again), and some watering to make sure this year’s transplants stand a chance of making it until spring. Yesterday I did some leaf-shredding, too. When I checked the gutters I noticed what seems to be a soft spot in the roof, which worries me.
Now my muscles ache, my legs especially. I’m looking forward to sleep.
