Another of Godfrey Reggio’s films I haven’t seen (and would like to) is Anima Mundi
- the spirit of the world. While reading about it I came across this passage from Plato’s Timaeus
:
"…Therefore, we may consequently state that: this world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence … a single visible living entity containing all other living entities, which by their nature are all related."
It seems that Lovelock’s Gaia hypothesis
is much older than I thought. Â
