A chickadee explored the birdhouse we put up last week. We may get one more up before their nesting starts in earnest.  

-2°C (28.4°F) I saw a robin singing to the sun at the top of a high cottonwood. The trees have taken on the same aura of warmth that the evening sky had Thursday night - a hint of amber, I think.
