This morning was a drippy 48 degrees. I went out to refill the bird feeder (the squirrels are pretty insistent about their breakfast), and I saw four deer gambol and frolic at the edge of our yard. The two fawns started out of nervousness and excitement - maybe a little fear (of me) - but turned to silliness and play. Infectious.

It’s now almost noon, and the temperature hasn’t changed. The clouds are a bit brighter, is all.
